Schedule Review
The Challenge
As part of its quality control measures, the State of Washington required their representative to have
contractor's schedules reviewed at the start of a project and prior to each progress payment.
Bluewater was invited to provide these services on three recent occasions.
The Process
Each contractor's initial schedule was analyzed for structure, logic, practicality, float ownership
and float distribution. As the progressed schedules were submitted, prior to payment authorization,
they were reviewed for actual dates versus dates as planned and the presentation of impacts likely to
be claimed against the owner.
The Results
Bluewater's services provided for a well-informed owner who
could address issues as they arose and thus avoid litigation
and claims for delay.
